DR PATTI PIPER
Dr Patti Piper is an Auckland graduate and a Fellow of the Royal New Zealand College of General Practitioners with over 20 years experience in general practice. She enjoys every aspect of family medicine from the care of new born babies to the elderly. Patti has a special interest in Skin cancer surgery. She holds a Diploma in Dermoscopy (Skin cancer diagnosis) and a Diploma in Aesthetic Medicine. Patti is a teacher of GP trainee doctors at our practice. She has two lovely grown up children, Maddy and Harry, and when not working will be in her garden, out with friends, at the movies or doing something arty. Dr Piper works Monday- Wednesday 1:30pm-5:45pm.
DR HEATHER MURRAY
Dr Heather Murray is an Auckland graduate who joined us near the end of 2015 after returning to work from maternity leave. She is working towards fellowship of the College of General Practitioners and has a Diploma in Child Health (Paediatrics). Heather has two young children who she enjoys spending time with in some of the many available community activities when not at work. Dr Murray works Tuesdays & Fridays 8:30am-4pm.
DR MEDHA KADAM
Dr Medha Kadam completed her basic medical training in Goa, India and graduated in the year 2006. She moved to New Zealand in 2011 and has worked at the Waikato DHB in a diverse range of specialties, before commencing her GPEP training program. She has passed her general practice exams and is working towards her fellowship of the Royal New Zealand College of General Practitioners. Dr Kadam enjoys working with children and older persons in particular. She loves travelling and reading.Dr Kadam speaks Hindi, Malathi and Konkani. Dr Kadam works Monday to Wednesday 8:30am-4:30pm and Friday 8:30am-12pm.
DR MEG THOMSON
Dr Meg Thomson trained in the UK and graduated in 1999. She moved to New Zealand in 2007 with her Kiwi husband. She has worked in Auckland in both General Practice and Accident and Medical Clinics. She is a Fellow of the Royal New Zealand College of General Practitioners (FRNZCGP) and has diplomas in Obstetrics and Gynaecology and in Sexual and Reproductive Health. She enjoys all aspects of General Practise and has a particular interest in women's health, children and palliative care. She lives locally and, outside of work, you might find her out and about with her young daughter. Dr Thomson works Monday - Friday 9:30am-1pm.
DR SEJAL SHAH
Dr Sejal Shah has been with the practice since August 2013 after spending her 1st two years in NZ working with accident and medical clinics. She originally trained in the UK and became a member of the UK College of General Practitioners in 2010 and went in to achieve fellowship to the NZ Royal College of General Practitioners in 2013. Dr Shah enjoys most aspects of general practice and holds diploma`s in Sexual & reproductive health + obstetrics + gynaecology. Dr Shah is mainly responsible for the teaching and training of our trainee GP`s in practice after completing teacher training through the New Zealand College. She also works part time for the NZ Police as an after hours forensic officer. Dr Shah works Monday 9:30am-5pm & Wednesday & Thursdays 9am -3:30pm. Dr Shah will be on maternity leave from Monday 29th October 2018, she is due to return June/July 2019.
DR TINA HUANG
Dr Tina Huang graduated from the University of Otago in 2003 and has been working as a GP since 2009. Tina enjoys all aspects of general practice especially children`s health and chronic disease management. She is a fellow of the RNZCGP and has a diploma in child health. She has two kids under 5 that keep her very busy. Dr Huang works Monday & Thursday 8:30am-2pm and Wednesday 9am-5pm.
DR NICOLA ROBERTS
Dr Nicola Roberts started at Sunset Doctors in April 2017. Dr Roberts works Thursday 9am-4:30pm, Fridays 12:30pm-4:30pm and Saturdays 9am-12pm.
DR NAMEER WADEA
Dr Nameer Wadea works Fridays 9am-5pm.
Dana has been working for many years in a variety of nursing areas and for the last seven years in general practice. She is our nurse smear taker and is interested in women's health. She enjoys, singing, writing and spending time with her family.
Jennie has worked at Sunset Road Family Doctors on and off since it first opened in 1989! Jennie enjoys all aspects of practice nursing and lives locally in Campbells Bay. Jennie loves living and walking on the shore.
Liz trained and worked in Wellington before moving to Auckland in 2006. Her experience ranges from obstetrics to care for the elderly, with the last 20 years working in Primary health care i.e. GP Practice and Accident and Medical. Liz enjoys working with the supportive team at Sunset Road and values the relationships that can be built with patients at the practice.
Tanea has worked as a registered nurse for nearly 30 years and has a background in medical, surgical, haematology and paediatric nursing. Her area of interest in general practice is asthma & diabetes.
Annette has been a medical receptionist for 20 years and has spent over 8 years at Sunset Road Family Doctors. Annette loves the everyday interactions with people of all backgrounds and feels so fortunate to work at Sunset Road Family Doctors. Sunset doctors are very compassionate and have created a lovely working environment for all the staff.
Eoibhlin has moved to New Zealand from Ireland with her Irish partner in 2013. Eoibhlin has in excess of 10 years customer service and has worked here for over a year now. She loves her role as receptionist being face to face and assisting the public every day. Outside of work Eoibhlin enjoys travelling and exploring New Zealand's outdoors.
Frank has had a varied working life; cartographer, tour guide, nurse for mentally challenged children, kindergarten teacher, and the last 24 years as a
Flight Attendant / Flight Service Manager with Air New Zealand. When Dr.Piper mentioned to Frank that there was a position for a relief receptionist, it seemed to Frank a good opportunity to keep his brain active, stay in touch with "real life" and keep in touch with people. So here he is. Frank hopes he can be of help to you.
Kirsten joined the Sunset team after a career change from hairdressing for 8 years; she enjoys facing new challenges with the variety the job offers, working in a team environment and getting to know our lovely patients. Kirsten's outside interests includes fitness, beauty and spending time with family and friends.
Jessica has been the Practice Manager at Sunset Doctors Since the beginning of 2015. Jessica has completed a Diploma in Practice Management, Diploma in Event Management and a Diploma in Human Resources. Jess is the Chair for PMAANZ Auckland Branch and was a top three National Finalist for the Practice Manager of the year award for 2017. Jess enjoys all aspects of being the Manager and is forever grateful to have such an amazing team. Outside of work she enjoys the gym, heading to the beach, and spending time with her family, friends, and two dogs.
